I don't know when it started but I have had an issue with my weight since I was a child. I was never overweight I was the opposite. I hated how thin I was. I could eat anything and not put on weight. I also had self esteem issues. As a teenager I was active so I didn't put on much weight.. My first child changed all that in the nine months I went from 9st to 13st. I ate for two. I have battled on ever since see sawing. The older I get the harder it is. I need help now to eat well, exercise, and stay on track.

Hi clewis,
I guess the big clue may be in the phrase "as a teenager I was active".
It suggests the activity level has gone down but the calorie intake hasn't. Me too - until a couple of weeks ago.
As Steve said there's plenty of information around and about and it's well worth reading the NHS live well lose weight pages.
It's not that difficult to re-align your eating to be nutritious, healthy and less calorific, but - like changing any habit - it does take a degree of effort.
From where I'm standing, the rewards - even after less than three weeks of taking control of my eating and upping the exercise - have been marvellous.
Try reading through some of the Questions and blogs for ideas that would work for you.
Good Luck.
