From my experience BMI is still (over)used in health generally. Hopefully people look at the whole picture not that one number. Also the trend over time. It doesn’t make sense when applied to athletes; most would technically be obese! Fat percentage is a good way to go but how are they measuring it?
It is one of the many things that may cause anxiety . I feel most know our own bodies . My son does a lot of physical sport from rock climbing to quite brutal martial arts . He is all muscle . Weigh him and hey the BMI would be off the scale . I was also alarmed when I exercised more intensely and put a couple of pounds on . After a few weeks my weight did go down but I was starting to look better as my stomach was flatter and my arms didn't flap about as much .
I am only 5ft 1 so I may weigh less than someone taller than me . I was told that my actual weight was amazing but only because I was 6 inches shorter but side by side the taller person looked a lot slimmer than me . I find BMI really weird . Good as an indication but annoying for those who are told that there BMI should be less before surgery .
The fat and muscle argument is a long standing argument in the fitness world.

What I'm hoping to do is to measure my arm legs and tummy. Maybe these are better indicators and just getting on the scale looking at the numbers.
I'm really keen to Friday Victoria secret diet I've tried it before my difficulty is that getting hold of fresh salads and things in the winter can be tricky.
With bad weather doing going for a walk is not as great. I do try and do hitt exercises at home.
I'm wondering if I should incorporate into my weekly meal planner when I am going to exercise.
He is in the healthy range but eats a high protein diet . He runs Boxing gyms so a career . So now he franchaises them . He has seen do many people who are ruled by sport .He enjoys it on a casual basis but still has to be a role model . It is more about looks as he also models and promotes brands . I don’t get involved. He went to uni but was disillusioned by the control of seniors so he went self employed in a business he loves . He does loads of different sports from climbing to swimming . His girlfriend has a pole dancing and aerial yoga studio . Very sporty. I doubt they weigh themselves but eat well as they also travel building their business. I think Drs are busy dealing with those that arguably have gone too far to be customers of his . He would probably clash with Drs . Who is the best - depends who you are and how fit you are or strive to be but some have genetic conditions and illness that none can cure .
