Hey guys i’ve recently been struggling for a few months now with being on track and i’m slowly starting to lose my progress. when i first started out in the gym i was locked in i was consistent i tracked everything down to the last calorie and that helped me lose 75 pounds, but then i hit a slow point i wasn’t losing anything no matter how much i went i didn’t see a change and i started to get demotivated. after that i graduated high school and that was when everything fell apart i go into a very labor intensive job i work outside in the heat i feel tired when i get home i dont want to lose everything i work for, so if anyone has any advice to help me get back on to it i’ll greatly appreciate it

Hi Linoz, welcome. Believe me you are not alone in this, I was a weightwatchers member many years ago and I know so many people who have reached their goal weight, stopped going to the meetings and then regained it all and had to start all over again. Maintaining is very very hard, perhaps because you suddenly realise its ’forever. Life does change as yours has but you are in a good place because you have recognised that you need to nip it in the bud. Perhaps try to see the outdoor labouring as a positive in terms of activity and exercise. With respect to diet, it sounds like planning might help you to get organised with good food choices, so that when you’re tired you’re less tempted to grab the first thing that comes to hand. Lots of help with ideas on the various threads on here, and there is also a maintainers group which you might find helpful. In general this is a supportive and welcoming place so join in and you will get lots of support, I'm sure.
Hi L1n0z, feeling unmotivated makes things so hard I can absolutely relate especially when you are tired.
I found that meal planning was key and having the ingredients at home ready to be made or even making them up in advance and freezing them so you just have to take it out the freezer in the morning and its ready for you when you get home. If you feel you are STS despite this check your calorie allowances.
I also found that sometimes when I was STS I would check my calorie allowance range and generally I was in the lower to mid end of my calorie allowance so I would actually up my calories for a week to the top end of my calorie range then take it back down. I found I didn't gain but lost when I did that and got out of the rut my body seemed stuck in, but check your allowance and do what feels comfortable and motivational for you.
