Weight Loss Stomp Due To New Program

Hi, community, I have a curiosity and no idea how and where to search it up.For the past 5 months I have been on a consistent gym and losing weight streak, going strong with a ~25kg weight loss.

I have recently changed my daily program. From going to sleep at 1AM-2AM and waking up at 9AM-10AM to waking up at 6AM 6 days per week and trying to fall asleep as soon as I can, generally around midnight.

Now I go to the gym in the morning instead and go for a walk in the evening(which I wasn't doing before), and although quite hungry some time after the gym I have been trying to eat nothing at all on top of what I was eating on my other program.

The problem is that I've had by far the worst week of losing weight. From losing 1.3kg+ per week to losing 100 grams this week. And no, I have been consistently keeping my food intake low, just as before, this did not change and I have added more physical activity instead.

Is there any way that my body is in a fight or flight panic about my sudden lifestyle change and it is absorbing every bit of energy it could or should I just get used to the idea that this weight loss week just sucked.

Did any of you happen to experience something similar? Thanks in advance!

Welcome, Kiolo. Its possibly just your weightloss slowing down as you have less fat to lose -I doubt the regime change would make that much difference long term but we all have weeks where we lose less even when we've been rigid with our food intake. If you like the new regime then I'd give it a few weeks and see how your losses go. ( I know there are people on here who'd be delighted with 100g loss!).Let us know how it goes.

Hello and welcome to our forum. Well done on losing 25kg. That's a great loss. We do find that weight loss is not consistent and can fluctuate from week to week. Exercise is great but what you are eating is more important. You are doing a lot of exercise and might need to eat more to keep losing weight. I suggest you review your calorie allowance and check you are eating the right amount for your new weight.

Here is a link to help you find your way around the forumhealthunlocked.com/weight-l.... Do have a good look around and read all the links. Join is as much as possible and you will get lots of support.
