Hi AJ3959, and welcome to Weight Loss Support.
It's good to see you already joining in, that's what this forum is all about, supporting each other.
There are a number of groups that offer that peer support on here, and they're all in the link I've added to the bottom of this reply. Specifically the Daily Diary supports members in planning out their daily menu and exercise plans, Fit is Fun is somewhere to record what exercise you've been doing, and the Weight In, well, that kind of explains itself, but is a source of great encouragement and support.
Good luck with getting your blood pressure and pre diabetes in order

You've got this
Hi AJ
Moreless has given you lots of pointers. What you need to keep in mind is that type 2 diabetes is a problem with carbohydrate metabolism: your body can't deal with carbohydrates in the way a healthy person can. Keep that in mind and you won't go far wrong. You just need to steer clear of those big sources of carbohydrate (bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, cereal) and start finding some really tasty recipes you'll enjoy - they are out there
