I've had two consecutive good days. The evenings still remain my biggest struggle but I have been able to negotiate with myself and not go over my daily calories. A cup of tea and some crackers has helped. I was hungry during the night and I just dreamed of breakfast and my big cup of coffee!
I actually got in 10,000 steps again yesterday but it was just through activities of the day and not intentional walking. I volunteered at the local senior center serving Thanksgiving dinner; I ran around and was on my feet for 3 hours and that accounted for about half my daily steps. I was entitled to have dinner myself at the center but I declined and just brought some sliced turkey home for my husband and myself; I made us a turkey sandwich for lunch.
Speaking of turkey, it's just me and the husband this year. I bought a good-sized turkey (for future meals). I'm keeping it simple: turkey, salad, vegetables, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and a dessert. I try to bulk my plate up with a lot of salad and veggies, then turkey and a small portion of potato and cranberry. I know I can do this because I have before!
I also reached a milestone on the scale. I try not to weigh everyday due to fluctuation; my next goal is 5 lbs.
Happy Thanksgiving!
