Hello everyone! I've been looking for a good community to get involved with as far as weight loss goes and this one seems awesome!
At my biggest (8 years ago), I weighed 235 lbs (nearly 17 stone), but I managed to lose roughly 60 lbs and get down to 173lbs (12.5 stone). Unfortunately a few years later I gained almost all of it back after a difficult year.
Earlier this year I weighed in at 225 lbs (16 stone) and finally decided I needed to make some changes. It was a slow start, but this last month I really stuck to my calorie limit and I've made some progress! The last time I lost a lot of weight, I was part of an online community and it helped me so much, I decided I needed to do something similar this time around.
I've lost ten lbs over the last month or so, which is right along my goal of 2 lbs a week. So my next goal will be 201lbs next Monday, which puts me 1 lb away from my first milestone: under 200lbs!
I look forward to meeting everyone, have a great week

Hi One_Ferocious_Feline, and a big welcome to Weight Loss Support
You've made a great start with the weigh in!
We have many other groups within the forum and you can join in with them all! I've included a link at the bottom of my reply that will take you to them all.
Your plan sounds really sensible, breaking down into milestones is a great way to celebrate success along the journey to your goal, coupled with a sensible weekly target - remember that might slow down as you get nearer to your goal
I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad year, which led to your re-gaining, but you've already done it in the past so you can definitely do it again, and I hope you find the support that helps you here. I know it's worked for me and many others.
Good luck on your journey, and I hope to chat with you again in the different groups, sharing in the Daily diary, swapping recipes, exercise successes, or cheering each other on in the challenges.
