I did it. 40 days

yay. I’m not alcohol dependent. I won’t know until Thursday if there’s any weight loss. I suspect not, as I love sweets. But after next weekend and my daughters 40th little do, I’m going to try another challenge of ‘no sweets’. Oh dear that will be hard. But I thought the alcohol was impossible and I did it. Thanks to the lovely people on here. Thank you all again. 👍👍

thank you Wine but only 40 days as I had a wine or 2 last night, with friends but that’s ok as I won’t be drinking again until Saturday on my daughters 40th. I, hopefully, have now broken the every evening habit.

Good luck with your next challenge, no sweets. Do you mean sweets as in mints or as in desserts? I stopped eating chocolate last June and apart from a couple of kitkats I still don't eat it. I was getting through ½ Kg every month, just 1 square at a time

I mean sweet sweets. Love hearts, I love. Refreshers. All the kiddies type sweets. Not so much chocolate. I also love liquorice Allsorts. They will be a mega thing to give up.

So, any ideas for an alternative will be good.
