Yes, I have one simple "hack" to lose weight: eat three balanced meals a day, using fresh ingredients, minimal processed foods, sensible portion sizes. Results are gradual, there is no quick fix. This simple hack has the advantage of being doable for almost everybody, and another plus is you feel good!

Thanks for your reply comment, I will also try to low the processed food from daily food diet and following balanced food diet.

Has anyone heard anything about this ice water hack that's all over YT? Supposedly the latest in weight loss. I've been drinking ice water whenever I get overheated all my life. Haven't noticed any changes.

Calorie-controlled diet! This might be the simplest hack. Results mightn't be immediate but certainly rewarding and faster than other methods or hacks. But is there really a simple hack out there for losing weight, I wonder.

Hi,

The only way to lose weight is to consume fewer calories than you need, the body then uses its fat resources to provide you with energy - hey ho the fat disappears! This can happen slowly (the healthier option) or fast depending on how few calories you eat.

It’s not difficult and it’s not a hack, but it is science!

The only other thing that is relevant is that only YOU control this. Unless someone else is putting food in your mouth, you are the only one who decides how many calories go into your body.

That’s not difficult, that’s not a hack, but it is control!

Take control, and consume fewer calories than you need.

These nine words have spawned a multi-trillion £/$/€ etc industry for about 80 years now so they are the ones with the hack!

But all calories are not the same. If you cut out the sugars and starches you will lose weight even if you make up the calories from fats, that's because energy storage in the body is controled by insulin and fats don't raise insulin.

Hi,

I absolutely agree and not all bodies are the same, but the basic principle applies in that as an overarching statement if you eat more than you need weight loss is a struggle!

as Eryl says, avoid ‘calorie dense’ foods, like chocolate & fatty or sugary foods and fill up clear soup when veggies and big salads (without dressing) and some lean protein. So you feel full but your calories are lower than on the same amount of ‘calorie dense’ food. Also leave the car at home and walk any distance less than a mile. It works for me

The hack is not to give up . Have a glitch but restart . Don’t expect miracles overnight and eat sustainable healthy meals as nobody can live off diet drinks , slimming pills and dolly portions of processed ready meals marked low calorie.
