Hi Chico64 and welcome to the weight loss forum. I'm afraid that we're more concerned about how to lose weight rather than how to gain. May I suggest that you ask your GP for advice as we are not medically qualified. I can only advise you to eat as healthily as possible and try to avoid the foods you're allergic to.

Wishing you all the best. :)

I feel for you. My dearest friend is in the same situation as you are. Have you tried high protein meal replacement drinks such as Huel? Some taste disgusting, but some are ok and they take no effort either.

Peanut butter is another good one, but you may be allergic to that. I hope you find something that works for you and wish you well for your future health.

You do not say what your height is but I would ignore him or her. As long as you are eating a nutritious diet and are getting all the vitamins, minerals, proteins etc. that your body needs your weight is of little importance. Carbohydrates are not essential as the body can make what they give you out of protein. I am 6ft tall and 161 lbs

Acording to Dr Thomas Seyfried and many others, carbohydrate feeds cancer, check out his lecture on youtube "Cancer: A Metabolic Disease With Metabolic Solutions"

We're sure Eryl doesn't mean you should ignore your oncologist, just that you shouldn't get overly concerned, without asking him/her for clarification ,and should concentrate on eating a nutritious diet.

You haven't said whether you've deliberately been losing weight, or whether you've been unable to eat much, which has caused the weight loss?

We also wonder if you meant to post on the SHARE forum, where you would receive advice from people who may be in the same situation?

As TheTabbyCat has said, we are not medically qualified and your oncologist should be who you are turning to for advice for how to gain weight/stop losing weight.

Wishing you all the very best."

I have the same problem.

The opposite of weight loss! Many small meals (in other words, snack!snack some more!)

Another trick is to drink your calories. Smoothies are a great way to pack calories (and protein) in without even noticing.

One thing not to do is start eating sugar and refined carbs. They are horrible for everyone. IMHO.
