I'm staying positive about this. Its my 1st week of low carbs and have really tried but despite feeling a little better and not as sluggish I'm the same weight...stick with it and invest in some digital scales (I have the doctors style scales)..ps...not made my bread yet, had my psyllium husk delivered today ...have a nice day! 🌻

Hi Artnmusiclover it's lovely to see you using the forum. May I suggest you join in with a weigh in ,now that you have your starting weight.

If you fancy hearing about other members' meal plans, click on the link again and scroll down to the 4th pinned post. Our DailyDiary :)

Hi, I'd second what Tabby said and suggest you use the Daily Diary: you'll find plenty of low carb eaters there and compare notes and menus.

What has been your favourite meal or ingredient this week?

Hi Artnmusiclover I too am on a low carb, mainly in that I’ve given up bread and potatoes, I did lose some weight at the beginning of my journey, but now I’ve been the same weight for nearly three weeks, but I am walking at least five miles a day, and I measure my waist arms and legs, and find that I’m losing inches rather than weight, I do worry about not losing the weight as I’m waiting for hip replacement surgery with the NHS who weigh you and use your BMI to decide wether you are healthy enough to have surgery. Don’t give up we are all on a journey and with support will get there one way or another x

Hi and welcome, Walkeroncrutches :)

Well done for taking the steps required to improve your health. Stick with it and I'm sure the pounds will go the same way as the inches.

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially the weigh-in and daily diary.

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

Thank you for the encouragement, it does help! You do amazingly well to walk that distance each day...its very strange how we can lose inches but not weight isn't it. I do hope you will get the surgery go ahead soon! Take care 🌻
