Update 3 years later 🤍

So the last time I logged into this app and wrote something was 3 years ago!! Can’t believe how fast time flies!

An update of what happened in those 3 years:

• I went from a size 18/20 to a size 12/14.

• I was a few pounds off my goal weight of 12 stone, from 16 stone.

• Life was good and I had a whole new confidence I never thought I could have!

Reason why I’m back!

So after being off work for mental health reasons and lockdown too I put on 2 stone+ and my weight is at 15 stone 11 pounds... I was 13 stone 11 pounds before lockdown!

I want to get my body back and lose weight and diet/exercise but getting back into it is the hard part so can anyone offer advice or inspiration wether that be photos or quotes. I just need something to bounce back Xx

Wow Laurennxoxo it's great to see you back. I'm sure that you can remember your way around but if you can't I suggest that you begin at the pinned posts. Just click on the link below, scroll down until you find a post which interests you, click on the title to open the post. If you want to see another one just start again. I suggest that you use the web page as opposed to the App which has become unreliable.

Many of us have put on weight because of lockdown etc, if you click on your avatar you will be able to read your own success story this should be an incentive to you.

As always ,we find that participation is the key to success. The Daily Diary and the weekly Weigh In are very good places to begin.

May I suggest that you set yourself smaller goals 1-2 lbs a week is far more achievable than looking at 2 stone.

Good luck 🍀

You have done amazingly well and only put on 2st that's 28lbs in 36 months. That's less than 1lb per month. I've had issues with stress myself in the past and still do to be honest. I self referred to IAPT for that and other reasons and did CBT training. Its amazing how fast the turn around was although you have to wait a bit to get on the programme.

A good place to start are the weigh ins. Why not start today and join the Sunday weigh in.

Good luck.

Hi, I can relate to this , I joined last week, initially I had lost 5.5 stone but over the last 2 years gained back 3 , due to different reasons but mostly emotional eating . I’ve tried so hard over those 2 years but getting your head back into things is very hard, on saying that I stumbled across this site last Sunday , have completed my first week with a loss and am feeling motivated . You obviously know this site so already know how the support makes you feel . My advise if I’m in a position to give 🙈 one day at a time . Each day is a brand new day with different feelings and needs , we just need to adapt to our needs . Best wishes with your journey, xx
