My first goal

Ok I have set myself a goal . To loose at least half a stone by my birthday. Which is at the end of April. I may struggle but I'm gonna give it a shot. Since hitting 40 I am finding it impossible (when I get in the right frame of mind ) to actually loose weight😩. Another goal isme and my friend want to treat ourselves to a massage but I couldn't get my body out looking like it does 🤢. So we have given ourselves till end of July to loose abit of weight. I really need to shift 4 stone. Which I know I won't loose by July but even half would be great. Hope I don't fail.x

Morning Kimrdt

Good luck with reaching your 7lb goal, having a goal does help. Why not join in with one of the challenges in the Pinned post section to help keep you motivated? A massage is a nice incentive to keep you going up to July.

Have a good week.

Hi lKimrdt, you have made an important decision to change the way you look & feel. Also get healthier in the process 😊

There's plenty of support on here to motivate & encourage you to reach your goals. You sound like you are in the right frame of mind to do just that, and it helps having a friend along with you on your journey. I wish you well.

Very ambitious goals. Definitely worth fighting for.

I don't want to put you down, but remember that it is better to set smaller goals to make sure you achieve them, as it will be a boost in motivation. I know it is very common to set up a weight goals, but goal in waist cm/in (just an idea). Try to concentrate on how you feel, make a before and after photo. Sometimes seeing yourself a little bit more toned up it what you need to keep going.

Good luck with loosing those stones! You can do it!

Keep your food healthy and be active, and I am sure you can do it!

Thanks, I know I won't loose all the weight I want by July , I'd have to stop eating! Lol. But anything would be good x

Plan, plan, plan.

Whats that saying? If we fail to plan we plan to fail.

Be diligent esp. when you start by planning exactly what you will eat a and drink each day and leave yourself 100 cals to play with.

I know it sounds boring but once you have your plan for the day when someone says "Do you want a piece of cake" or you think "Hmmm that chocolate won't hurt I have been good all day" you already know what the answer is because you know what your calories are for the day.

Myfitnesspal is really handy for this stuff.

You can do this. I know it!
