TW: disordered eating

PessimisticOptimist profile image

I thought I was recovering. I really thought I was. I began eating and without reserve while still losing weight.

I feel like I'm relapsing into not eating again. I reward myself when I feel those pants of hunger and I punish myself when I feel full. Is relapse normal?

Hello PO, I am very sorry to see that you feel that you are having a relapse. I find this really worrying and would suggest that you get in touch with your Doctor. We are not medically trained here and I am not sure what advice to give you.I am also giving you the link to Beat Eating Disorders, I hope that you will find some help there.

Please do not leave this and let it slide any further, I wish you all the best going forward :)

I think tackling this on your own is going to be very difficult - these are very complicated feelings and reactions which make it difficult to offer advice here.

I absolutely agree with lucigret and think you should contact your GP or BEAT. I think you need some extra and specialist support and advice over and above what we can offer you here.

That said, we would love to see you joining in here too, alongside that, and will support you in any way we can.

Take care.
