Hello Everyone! A few days and i turn 30. I have been obese all my life, suffering with eating disorders :(. The previous year i met my fate when i was diagnosed with hypertension. I have tried weightloss numerous times, but never succeeded. I want to give myself another chance and hope this group would keep me and others motivated
Cheers!

Hello and welcome, nbzuk0 :)Have you thought about how you're going to go about it? I'd suggest avoiding diets and counting calories if you tend towards eating disorders. Maybe this simple plan would work for you phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...
You'll find everything about the forum in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... The more you join in, the more you'll get out of it. Joining a weekly weigh in and using the Daily Diary would be a good start.
Do some exploring, read posts, chat and encourage others and it will all pay off for you
Hello BridgeGirl. Thanks for the reply. I've overcome my eating disorder (90%) but i think the motivation to shed some pounds supercede the craving! Good luck to me and all of the rest. Looking forward to weekly weigh ins!
Good luck to you. Join the weigh in on the day of your choice, make sure to chat to others and you'll soon feel part of the team. Have a browse of the Daily Diary and join in when you're interested
Hey! Fatpizza . The first thing I'm quitting are fat double cheese crusted pizza's :). Jokes apart, I plan to go for a walk at-least 1 hr everyday and reduce my calorific intake to 1400 Kcal/pd. I know the cravings will be quite high, but i think should fade away in a week. Will keep it posted.
I see you don't fancy counting calories. You really don't need to count anything if you go for a straightforward plan like this phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...
As I've mentioned to nbzuk. a good place to start is with a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice, anc using the Daily Diary. You'll find them both, and everything else you need, in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
Good luck! I’ve binged since I can remember so my weight has gone up and down like a flipping yo-yo! I finally discovered that food addiction is real and that my brain lights up like a Christmas tree when I eat sugar or flour! Calorie counting worked for me for so long but as soon as I had “just one” - that one would kick me back into bingeing. ☹️
I joined the bright line eating community which is a food addiction programme based on neuroscience, I’m now in maintenance and am successfully keeping off 132lbs. It’s not for everyone but may be worth a look.
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Hi Nbzuk0, if you are planning on walking for 1 hour each day then maybe do it in stages or on how you feel whilst you are walking. There is an app that is a free download called Active 10 and I think there is a group on HU that engage with this. I am wishing you good wishes on your weight loss journey. There is a lot of support on HU for you to access should you have need.
Hi nbzuk0. Great to have you here with us. I have also been fighting with my weight all of my life and at double your age plus a bit that’s a long while😃. If you can with the help of the excellent people on this site and get to grips with a style of eating that suits you that would be worth the effort now. I wish I had found this many years ago and had the sense to use it. I my case I would probably have lacked the good sense. Wishing you every success whichever route you take.
Hey! Dave1000. Thanks for the motivation. Its true that being fat all your life s''ks! But its never too late. Just for me, I've had this motivation come and go. You have setbacks, and then you quit and then one day you wake up to cope up again. I don't want to lose hope this year. Will keep my stats posted. All the best to you as well.
Hello, to give yourself a good chance would you like to join us on our Daily Diary and post your menu for tomorrow? Here's the link, I hope to see you there! x
