My transformation started a few years ago when had always loved my food and wouldn’t worry about what I had to eat or drink.
I was always being nagged by the wife to lose weight but decided against it.
It wasn’t until I was off work due to having surgery on my ankle so wasn’t very active and had taken my kids to a butlins break and over ate at usual that when I got home I weighed myself to the shock of being 118 kg and obese!!
I took the step of deciding I would go on a diet and do dry January.
The weight came off well was Back at work and calorie counting at around 1700 a day which was hard as I’m 6ft 5 tall and now 49.
By the summer I was 82kg.
I maintain my weight going Bach up to 90kg until last April when went on a ski holiday and snapped my ACL in knee and had to give up work. I was on sertalne then for anxiety and little depression which was finding it hard anyway to maintain weight weight but this made matters worse.
I got my surgery in the October and after a slow recovery was Back in a new job in January weighing in at 106kg.
When the COV19 came in I decided I was gonna go on a mission to lose weight which again did my calorie counting which I still do now I’m at my happy weight.
I was doing a lot of walking over the summer but cut down now due to the dark mornings,I’m going to the gym now 3/4 times a week and playing tennis.
I get comments now I’ve lost to much weight but a healthy BMI of 21.3
This is me now still work to do on gaining muscle but definitely a lot better than the old me.
Hope it helps anyone who’s wanting to lose weight never give up.
When I was on the tablets it was so frustrating as was going to the gym and eating less and walking a lot but very little weight was coming off I know they helped with anxiety but it’s shocking how they effect the body with weight loss this wasn’t explained by the doctor and also effected my sleep
Keep going everyone
