Why don’t you lose weight over a week when you have not eaten a lot during the days

Eating less but still not losing
Hello, try this calculator, if find if I eat less than the lower value, my body will hold on to what it can. Also, if my small amounts of food are alcohol, biscuits and crisps, instead of vegetables and real food, I don’t lose.

Thanks Sarah73uk I will look at this I think my problem is not eating and drinking enough
I have seen calculator on the Nhs site which recommends 1400 cals for women so will look to do this as a minimum thank
Hello, yes the 1400 is the average- but in my case it was 1700... if you are overweight, I’d recommend you take a look at the calculated value, for your current height and weight. I’ve linked it here: nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...
I find that when I eat "not a lot" of reasonably healthy food I usually do lose weight. But what you eat counts for as much as the amounts that you eat.
And this may not be a problem for you but I find that for me just "not eating a lot" isn't a very accurate measure. I'm quite capable of underestimating how much I'm eating.
Hello Mo9505 and welcome to the weight loss forum. Please have a good read of the Pinned Post “Welcome Newbies”. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
May I suggest you think about what you eat instead of how much you eat.
Here's a link which may help you.

This is a very large community with lots going on. May I suggest you use the webpage as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around. Take your time and follow every thread so that you know exactly what’s going on.
Here’s the link for a “Tour” of the forum ,if you haven’t already taken it.
If you are following the NHS plan please check your BMI on the NHS site and obtain the correct amount of calories for you.

The Daily Diary and the Weekly Weigh ins are very good places to begin. You will find the DD and WI in the Pinned Posts under “Events”
I find the Daily Diary a very good place to share my plans and get inspiration from other members, too. Once the day’s food is written down I’m far more likely to stay on track.
The key to success is participation, we are all on the same journey.
If you can’t find something just shout, there’s usually someone around.
I hope to “see” you around, Good Luck.🍀😉
Hi, would you like to join us on the weigh in today? Here's the link, I hope to see you there!
