Open Garden

Just a pic of the garden from the other morning. Open Garden was a huge success this afternoon and it was so lovely to socialise for the first time in ages with friends and neighbours. As we had to limit numbers this year, it meant there was actually more time to have a proper chat, which I enjoyed. (I did actually have other photos but they all have people in them ☺️)

It looks beautiful 😊 I’m so glad it went well for you as you have worked so hard on it 😊

Thank you!

It was weird though, as the flying ants decided to swarm around midday so everyone had ants in their hair and on their t-shirts 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hehe

That was an old cd shelf we were going to give to charity then we decided to paint it & put some succulents in it instead 🌻

Gorgeous garden! I’m sure it got lots of compliments. Are you a BBC Gardeners World fan?

Me too! I get all sorts of ideas from watching it, and I love the viewers’ videos. I think they should be a regular feature.

That's a lovely pic. It looks as if you've used every inch of space. I like the paving, too!

Oh that gorgeous Monday, very pretty, I envy your stone flags, (paving) How big is your garden? Ours is quite small so we have gravel rather than grass and like you, a seat in the sunshine 😊👏🌼

Hi Indigo and sorry that I missed your reply the other day 🤦🏽‍♀️

The garden is about 80' long and 20' wide. The paving stones aren't real Yorkshire flags but a cheaper version, which we're really pleased with. We've got gravel in the front garden and it always makes me feel like I'm at the beach when I put the bins out 🤣

Similar size to mine, I think we are about 20’ narrowing down to 20’ and about 70’ long, but with a very large shed (garage sized) at the back. We are surrounded by a wall and tall shrubs so it’s very private. Also being coastal it never gets far below freezing. We have gravel and stone steps/walls. I Initially wanted paving but have come to love the gravel
