Hi and welcome, Jacquimeme :)

It really depends on what is causing the bloating. Many people find a diet high in carbohydrate can be bloating and as we age, we find our bodies are less able to process them. If you have IBS/Coeliac disease, it could be gluten, or certain vegetables that are affecting you.

You could try a low carb diet to see if that helps the bloating and your weight loss and if that doesn't help, you could try a process of elimination, until you find the foods responsible. Your GP could test you for Coeliac disease, if you felt that was a possibility.

This is a fairly low carb approach, or you could go lower if you wished healthunlocked.com/api/redi...

Hi Jacquimeme and welcome. Just so you know, I stared my weight loss journey (this time around!) 2 weeks ago and decided to try following a LCHF approach and so far I’ve found it really suits me. The bloated, tired feeling I used to get after meals is gone as are the cravings for carbs and sweet foods. It was a major mental shift to move away from pasta, rice and root vegetables, but now they’re gone I really don’t miss them. My morning porridge is a loved meal I couldn’t part with but keeping that seems to work for me...especially with the LCHF addition of peanut butter and/or Greek yoghurt! 😋 Good luck in finding the approach that suits you. Hope to see you here on your journey.😊
