Exercise

Thinking of starting exercising again. I used to play just dance for 40 mins and lift weights doing both 7 days a week. However I've gained 3 stone so I know I can't do anywhere near that. Wondering if 20 mins of just dance 3 days a week to start with would be enough to start with. I don't want to push myself too hard because that's when I give up. Any ideas on how to ease myself back into exercise would be grateful. Many thanks peeps 😊

Hi. Try walking first to get in the habit of exercise. It needn’t be strenuous and you go for however long you want. Its interesting too as you see more on foot.

I took your advice and went for a walk in the woods for an hour, I think everything that can sweat on a human body is sweating 😆 it's so hot outside. On the plus side I spotted two baby deers so it was definitely worth it. Thanks 🤗

Oh I’m so glad you had a nice walk. It really is soooo hot at the moment but it won’t always be like this. 2 baby deers - how lovely.

I hope you enjoyed it enough to do it again. I wonder what you might see next time⁉️

Good luck.

I love that you use Just Dance to exercise! I'm with you on not pushing yourself too hard or you'll give up - I'm the same. Choose something you enjoy and set yourself a realistic target that you will stick to, even if it's small. Good luck!

I've used Just Dance for my exercise since I can remember. I can't go to the gym, the thought of everyone watching me puts me right off. Plus I can play Just Dance in my pants and a baggy t-shirt on a hot day 😆😆

Hiya. I used to do Justdance too but late May me and hubby started the NHS Couch to 5K app. I found so many excuses not to do but today is Day 2 of Week 5. I’m sure weightloss will follow but the endurance and stamina has very much improved. Biggest regret is not starting sooner. Give it a try! 😊 Good luck!
