My Dilemma

My Dilemma - thank you to everyone who replied. The biscuits were crushed up (I licked my fingers afterwards 😬) and were crushed up and given to the birds in my garden. I haven’t checked but I bet they have all gone!

I didn’t eat even one of them!

Horror of horrors though the friend whose party it was on Saturday popped round earlier this evening with a thank you box of chocolates (as I helped her set up the party food etc) when will this nightmare end?!! 😱😱😱 Needless to say my party host friend is very slim and is clearly oblivious to the trauma she is causing me!

Actually, unlike the digestives, the chocolates are not open and my three 6ft+ tall sons are home at the weekend so the chocolates have no chance of surviving beyond 10 minutes once opened.

I do however, need new friends 😂😂

Thank you again all, it was fun getting your thoughts on this dilemma.

Love and peace to you all xxx

I'm sorry Edge but the choc box bit did make me chuckle... it must have felt like some sort of boomerang :O Lucky to have your sons home to clear them up.

Good luck with finding new friends :)

I laughed too.

What a lovely problem. Yeah, the chocs are bad, but you have good friends and hungry sons.

You don't need new friends, you just need new strategies. Your friend is a keeper, you just have to wait until she has forgotten this gift to start retraining her. Her generous instincts are in the right place!

Well done for resisting the biscuits, Edge, I bet the birds 🐦 were delighted ☺

I also smiled at the chocolates - it's a lovely gesture, maybe subtley let her know flowers 💐 would be your thank you gift in future!

I'm sure you can keep her, and you have some new friends here too 😊

I donated a huge box of chocs to a raffle this week, because they were starting to call my name. Be strong and we'll done.

I think we can forgive you a luck of your fingers LOL. Sons will make short work of the choccies as you say

Inspired by your dilemma, this morning I dug into the food waste, and rescued the sardine heads, tails and backbones. I walked along the river until I found some gulls. It was a pleasure to toss the tiny heads in the air, and watch seagulls swoop in and catch it before it started descending.
