Finding It Hard

So I haven't posted for a little wile on here, I have had a bad couple of weeks mentally and just couldn't get myself up and out or keep to any plan. I just wanted to eat and fall into myself which I have done but do not want to carry on that way. The plan I was following, was not working at all which is one of the reasons I started to fall back into my ways.

Any advice for a Yo-Yo dieter trying to change her life around and fix her mental health on the way?

When you first joined, you dipped a toe into a Weigh-in and a Daily Diary. I like to think that I'm really strong willed in most things but I know that without the support I receive from these I would have even worse moments than I currently do. How about trying more than a toe this time :)

Like many things in life, it's often the case that the more you put into something, the more you're likely to get out of it.

Part of the trick on feeling better about ourselves is to do positive things and I hope my suggestions above will spark your interest and maybe help you move forward.

Definitely going to work harder at the daily diary, I really want to succeed in this journey. Thank you

Good for you :)

It's easy too for the weigh-in and the DD to slip our minds. For things like this, I add them into my mobby calendar, with loads of alerts for each one. Bit anal I know but I either forget or just ignore otherwise.

Hi, Hidden .

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works, long term, is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Thank you, I will have a look and see if I can take something from these!

Just to reiterate what Tiggerr is saying, honestly nothing beats regular forum activity

Can I also remind you to read the pinned posts, especially the security post

Today is always the first day of the rest of our lives!

I find the weekly weigh in very supportive, also there is Fit is Fun each week, for any exercise you may have done (it is not necessary to be a wonderful athlete!)

Also there is Healthy Tanya's post.

Wishing you the best of luck with your journey.
