Well done a great Day 2 there! You are right to pace yourself(Rome not built in a day etc) and you've done extremely well to divert from the beer temptation. These things will vary in how hard/easy they feel from day to day but the degree of temptation will become less as you develop more "muscle " in the practice. Look forward to reading more of your blog
Hi Diane2
Thanks for reading. It's a great reflection tool for me, blogging. It's nice talking on here and encouraging others too. The real challenge will be when I go back to work and the tiredness kicks in. That's when the hard work will start. Still, each day has its challenges and each day we have to face them with a smile and a positive outlook.
Yes my dad was a teacher and I can still picture him marking books in the evening! Trying to find some time no matter how short, to be a protected "oasis" during the day could be helpful or if once a day seems impossible ,once a week or twice etc. Something restorative that doesnt have to be linked to "effort"?
That's my plan. Utilising time both at school and at home and finding time for me is my way of tackling it. Mental fatigue has been the biggest killer of my motivation and good intentions in the past, hence why I had to think a lot about how to tackle them when they turn up. I'll listen to what they have to say and then politely decline to do as they want. 😁
Well done Wordsworth and keep it up.
