Do I have to do this. Here I am again. 6 weeks to Christmas.......I want to feel more comfortable.......no I WILL feel more comfortable. 75% of my days are taken up thinking about food. I have lots of things I like to do but I am also a procrastinator......so I do nothing. Quite a few unfinished tasks and projects. Just too bored......I know thats an avoidance excuse and not viable......just cant find my MoJo

You'll get there Jo1957 you just need to find what works for you. I'm here a few weeks and apart from a blip 😔 yesterday I've been thriving on Intermittent fasting. I fast for 16 hours and then eat in an eight hour window. It sounds daft but the fasting helps me feel less hungry and I'm not spending my time thinking or obsessing about food. If you haven't already, go to the NHS BMI calculator to get your recommended daily calorie intake. Most diets recommended way to few which leaves you hungry and obsessive. Eat plenty. I eat 1700+ I know it sounds crazy but I've lost 7 lbs in four weeks. Also if you commit your food to The Daily Diary you can put it out of your mind and get on with things. I've a way to go but I'm full and satisfied. Best of luck Jo1957 you'll get all the help ans support you need here.
I'd also suggest starting with 2-3 new habits/small changes to what you're currently doing. For me it was walking 30mins a day, keeping a water bottle with me all the time and tracking at least one meal everyday. Obviously choose things that work with your life and that you can see easy ways to progress when your comfortable with those habits.
Thank you for your reply and support. I could do a lot more than I do.... Just got into the can't be bothered fram of mind. We have a little dog which my hubby walks twice a day. I'll get on board with that as a 1st change

Well done you for coming back. I haven't really started yet, love food too much & use it to improve mood/get through the day. Maybe you can offer me some advice & tips to get started.
Hiya whiter, Ive lost count howany restarts I have had. At present I feel motivated. I think it's the holiday I've just had and jow uncomfortabl I felt and how I felt in my clothes. I do not what a Christmas like that. I know it just 6 weeks away but feel I can at least feel less stuffed and located. I am trying LC as a way to stop snacking Day 1 today
There's no time like the present to get started, all you have to do is follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.
