Good! I do it daily, just because it's part of the ritual to start the day, it helps me focus on my health goals, and also over time it has made the number less important. But I also think some people find the slow progress and the number itself demotivating, so I think the best is try both ways and stick with the one that works for you (as everything, really)
That is true! Before I started exercising and was just dieting the number on the scale was up and down. If I had been "good" and the number went up it totally wiped my motivation to carry on being good and I would usually binge and end up back at square one.
Now it is pretty consistent. It moves in the right direction and goes up when I totally know it will (because of a treat day or holiday). I think daily is more helpful for the maintaining stage of weight loss to help you keep focus and not slip into old habits.
