Good evening,my name is Footyma,short for footmad.

I'm looking to lose weight gradually adnd got about this group at my local Doctors.

I play walking football once a week,but looking for other ways to keep fit and lose weight.

Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to the forum, Footyma :)

The best exercise is whatever you enjoy and then you'll stick to it. Sounds as though you've found something you like and I guess it's sociable, too. That may give you some other leads. Walking is brilliant and free.

For weight loss, what we eat plays a much bigger part than exercise. I'll give you a couple of things to read that might give you a different angle on things

Hi, Footyma , Welcome.

Walking is excellent exercise... I walk 30 or 40 Km a week.

Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Eating All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
