Does any body use this app I’m using the free version at the moment I only downloaded it yesterday and seems quite good.

What do you all think of it?

I've used it for 3 years. Very useful, but didn't stop me clocking up 3000 calories on occasion.

Still use it, but don't take any notice of its recommendations as I now follow low density carb way of life :)

I've used it for 5 years, the first 10 months to reach my goal weight and the past 4 years as a maintainer.

It definitely gave me the self discipline to lose 2.5 stone and keep it off . I use the food diary and log my weight every week, I find my reports/graphs and history interesting , especially if I have the occasional blip I can look back and see what worked before. Some of the articles and recipes are good too.

Thank you both for replying x

How many calories do you have a day please? x

MFP often sets the calories quite low as you can ‘earn’ them back by exercising, but this is not a very accurate method, we always advise you to use the NHS BMI checker which will suggest a target range 😊

Yes I found that! MFP said 1200, and NHS says 1400, so I try to aim between 🙂

The NHS BMI checker should give you a range, and it’s best to start towards the top, then it’s easier to reduce calories as your weight comes down 😊

Thanks I will bear that in mind 🙂

Hi , I have just started my journey and have started using the myfitnesspal app. I find it really useful and gives me a reality check on my calorie intake. I also like it because it is free🙂
