Day 33

Well after the great sugar debate I intended to cut down my fruit consumption a little...but, been to Lidl today to do my food shop and it all looked so lovely I couldn’t resist! Some reports do say natural sugar in fruit doesn’t count as free sugar though and I am losing weight and it is part of my 5 a day and my eating a rainbow so can’t all be bad!

Tried turkey mince for the first time today, it was nice, but to be honest I would have been just as happy with a veggie curry.

Nice walk this morning as heavy rain and thunderstorms were forecast, we got some rain but no storm, which suits me fine!

B - porridge with blueberries

L- Banana

T - Turkey Mince Tikka Masala with pilau rice, a spoon each of mango chutney and raita. Followed by strawberries, raspberries and blackberries with coconut pot yoghurt and toasted coconut.

S - Nectarine

I’ve got plenty of calories left if I want supper and a nightcap.

I have stopped pasta and rice but brad is a different thing. I could live on it. I love all types. But I have cut down a bit. 😊😊

I didn't think I was paying much attention to sugars in fruit but in hindsight, maybe something sank in somewhere. I guess, like Hidden has just mentioned that at some point I started sliding more towards the berries... and for me, of course, the obligatory cream.

I still think, that when people (us) are making all these changes, that it's better to make one or two at a time and let them 'feel good'.

You're eating well Caz and have a great winning streak to your name.

with fruit I have fromage frais. even when I have a little bit of ice crm I use it, so far I have lost 1 and a ,half stone, it's not easy but before I lost weight I was very breathless, now I am not. Good luck keep up the good work.

I totally get that! Fruit can be very tempting. 🍇🍎🍉🍈🍒🥭🥝🍓🍑🍐🍏

But, much better to eat a piece of fruit than a cake, don’t you think?

Much better!

Totally. Looking at carbs in fruit, to me is fine tuning, but it's useful to have an awareness, especially if you're me and wondering why you might be getting cravings and all you've been doing is eating fruit.

I missed it. What was "the great sugar debate"? Where can I see it or read a transcript? Thanks. Did they say to cut down on fruit?
