Finally had my appointment with the Fracture Clinic, very efficient - I can have the op on my poor toes to relieve the pain of Friebergs when I am ready. Have decided to carry on with weight loss to make good outcome more likely. Partner had done the weekly shop in the meantime, lovely food and considerately did not load up with stuff he loves but I don't eat, big thankyou.
Eye test this afternoon, and on the way nipped into high street chemist and weighed myself because my home ones are all over the place. Readout states 12st 11lb which is exactly a stone more than I posted last week. I must admit I rocked on my heels.
Eye test told me that my eyes had detiorated a little so need a stronger prescription, then I was quoted £450 for new glasses! This got whittled down -"by losing quality" to £350. I left with no new specs as for me that is unaffordable, and pretty shaken up.
So today's 'to do' list is complete, and I feel pretty deflated. Do I bite the bullet and go with the weight recorded? I jumped on my home ones without looking for a sweet spot(!) and it said 12st2lb. HELP!
I have made a very pretty salad and some salsa new potatoes to accompany tuna, my way of trying to keep focused on it all. Sorry, its a bit woe is me but I needed to write it out so I don't push it under the rug and abandon my hopes of losing the next 40llbs. Thankyou for being out there you guys, see you at Wobblers Wednesday Weigh IN

They say you should always weigh on the same scales every week? Besides which, you can't nip to the chemist in your nightie as soon as you get upon on a Wednesday morning ! lol
With my pragmatic head on, I'd say bite the bullet. You've still lost two stone which is the most important aspect of your journey. Sounds similar to where I'm cycling up a particularly steep and unpleasant hill and I think I've reached the summit only to find there's yet another bit to go. I've still got a long way up the hill but I've got a bit further to go than I hoped. I still get there.
Are the glasses really that much? I use a well known high street group and have pretty wonky eyes (one short and the other long sighted). I've not seen a bill like that (yet).
Well done for posting here and for making yourself a nice meal.
I hope you wake up this morning and feel better about yourself and how far you've already come.
Hello and thankyou - you get exactly I felt yesterday! I do feel better but I feel as if I gave gained loads of weight overnight, I hate what this can do do to my thinking. Quieter day today mainly because it is so hot . I am going to return to the High Street specs people that I used before - yesterdays came recommended but not for me! I will jump on the scales tomorrow and post what they say, as you say bite the bullet..... mmm, raspberry flavour methinks! Have a good day
I'm glad you're feeling better today. There's knocks around every corner and as the saying kinda goes, it doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down as long you get up one extra time.
