Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum flabby41

The best advice I can give is have enough to eat. If you are following the NHS 12 Week plan then the 1400/1900 calorie target suggested is a just generic amount, please check your own personal calorie target using the BMI checker, it’s often higher than you think. We always advise starting towards the top of the range, being hungry is the biggest cause of weight loss failure.

It’s a common mistake is trying to reduce fat and eat too many carbohydrates, please read this for a more detailed explanation (please ignore the title, it applies to everyone) healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... 😊

We have found that active participation is key to success, especially the Group Weigh In and Daily Diary. Please see today’s Chat Thread with a list of all the things happening on the forum.

If you haven’t already then please read the Welcome post here

please read it carefully and just ask if you have any questions.

I notice that you have left your post unlocked. We always advise that you select “only my community” when you write a post. Please read our security post here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Best wishes in your weight loss journey

Indigo 😊

Hi flabby41, two suggestions for you, take time to read the stuff IndigoBlue has sent you. I’ve managed 3.5 stones in a year by following that advice. Secondly think about changing your name to something more positive, maybe “slimby42”? Good luck!

PandQs, I agree that flabby41 is rather body-shaming and a new name might give more positive energy for your praiseworthy effort to lose the weight.
