Well I’ve really let myself slip and need to lose a lot of weight. I’ve s hip replacement op due 5 August so want to lose as much weight as possible to aid my recovery. I am finding walking and exercise painful at the moment. Any ideas

Good morning, JeffDavies123, and welcome to the forum 😊

It looks like you've been here before, some time ago, so this should be a 'welcome back'. My suggestion would be that, whatever approach you tried last time, go for something different this time as it hasn't worked for you in the past. By "worked", I mean you didn't keep off the weight you lost.

I suggest you consider the approach you'll find here

Hi Jeff and welcome.

Good luck with the weight loss and your upcoming op. Despite your current reason to lose weight you will likely find it best in the long run, to not make it a race to lose weight as quickly as poss. This method tends to be one of the reasons that people yo-yo diet and end up putting on more weight.

Reading everything that BridgeGirl has linked for you will be a great starting point.

Good luck :)
