Our old set of scales looked rusty and had a bit of fluff clinging to the old fashioned needle. My John Lewis set was in storage so I bought a cheap pair made in China on eBay for about £8, digital read out in kgs only - not a good start. On top of that it gave a different reading depending where it was situated on the floor - up to five different readings in fact which left me totally confused and unable to check where my weight was heading. Now at last the great moment has arrived. All my stuff is out of storage including my John Lewis scales. Bliss. I'm holding in there and I'm guaranteed to get the right reading time and time again no matter where I place the scales. It was so off putting. Now confirmed for certain that I've dropped from 14.2 to 12.7 since February. All I want now is to lose another nine pounds - no more.
