I am a serial yo yo dieter.! I am noe extremely fed up and mad at myself. I do not really want to pay to go to a slimming class so I am hoping people on here will help keep my focused. I actually now weigh more than when I was pregnant with my first son. I really do not want to get any bigger, I am scared that I will get diabetes as I had it when I was pregnant both times. I just don't really know where to start!

Feeling like a failure!
Hello, Mumbez, and welcome to the forum 😊
The chances are it's the diet failing you, not the other way around. I'm going to give you a couple of things to read that could give you a new direction. The title of the first one won't apply to you but do read it as the content will, given you're a serial dieter. The second underpins the first.

Welcome! Well done for joining the forum. I too am a serial
Yo-yo dieter but am sticking at it this time by changing habits rather than seeing it as a ‘diet’ for a temporary period. I’m on a slow downward journey and have a similar amount to lose. Pick a day to weigh in and keep coming back would be my advice.
Definitely use the forum on bad days as well as good, people here are very supportive.
Good luck!
Hi Mumbez, I’m a yo yo dieter that had given up wanting to try again because I always ended up bigger. Then I had umbilical hernia that consultant wouldn’t accept me on list for surgery unless I brought my BMI down. Reluctantly trying again. -then a revelation, watching series of YouTube videos “The Skinny on Obesity” episodes 2 and 4 in particular. Realised that previous low fat high carb diets of baked potatoes, bagels, had messed me up. Now a LCHF convert, loving my food, not counting calories, feeling full, not craving between meals and best of all, losing weight. Reading about LCHF or watching those videos might be a good starting point for you. Best of luck!
P.s. over 3 stone lighter and hernia no longer requires to be fixed by surgery. Win win !
Wow well done! Thankyou I a m going to try again it is start day tomorrow!
