Good morning Joanna and welcome to the forum, congratulations on the birth of your little one :)

Please don't despair, you are only 6 months post baby. What have you tried so far? If you are calorie counting then please check to see what your own personal calorie range should be by using the NHS BMI calculator. If you are breast feeding, you need to add around an extra 500 calories. Apparently eating less than 1,800 calories a day could impair your milk supply, as could a sudden drop in calories.

Remember to use your calories wisely, it is better to eat a 30g piece of cheese than a bag of crisps - same amount of calories but the crisps will make you hungry, the cheese will fill you up for some time. Don't be tempted to eat low fat or diet foods, these are full of sugar and again will make you hungry, eat full fat versions of all foods which will keep you full for longer and will help to prevent snacking. From an exercise point of view, get out everyday with baby and have a good 30 minute brisk walk.

Above all, don't stress, you body has done an amazing thing for you and needs a little time and TLC to get back to normal. Enjoy making memories with your little one, the rest will follow :)
