Thankyou I had been putting it off for a ages now ignoring the fact I had put on more weight just buying bigger clothes, but stepping on the scales gives you a kick into reality and tells you there’s no more hiding the fact you have put on more weight and you need to do something about it ! Xx
Please don't worry about a number on the scales. It doesn't define you as a person and is just the beginning of your journey.
Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary
Yes I do 100% have to come and join a weigh in group that mite give me the boost I need if knowing I have to put my weight in every week thankyou for the links I have been taking my time to look round here, I haven’t been as active as I should have maybe I should get more involved in daily discussions xx
Hi Peachschnapps, youve done the hardest part just getting on the scales. I find if I have something to focus on it helps, for me it's my holiday and for you, your little bubba. I do a calorie counting diet and write down everything I eat which really helps. It's surprising the calories you can save by swapping foods. I use to take a Twix (245 calories) in my pack up I now take a a alpen light (70 calories) or if I crave chocolate a 2 finger kit-kat (104 calories) a saving of 175-141 calories. It all adds up at the end of the day. Good luck and stay focused.☺️
Thankyou putting of the scales is something that I had been doing for a while now if I couldn’t see the numbers going up it wasn’t happening !
But I knew I couldn’t hide anymore I had to face it ! See what my weight is to kick me into reality, I’m away this weekend but I’m hoping if I start making the right swaps I’m in the right direction😊 xx
Hi I know that feeling of wanting a baby and hearing that need to weigh and stress less but I can tell you it is all worth it.
My heaviest times were October/November 2017 and now I am looking at my precious little boy.
I am wishing you all the best. Small steps will get you there x
We can all feel your pain.... the shock, the tears , the despondency. I was in the same place as you with my weight, but that is now nearly 5 years ago
But you've definitely come to the right place, you will find guidance and support every step of the way. And the plan for a baby is the best incentive ever.
Read all the links and just take a day at a time. 😊
It’s just always an emotional roller coaster I just hope this is the low before the high ! How much have you lost in the last 5 years if you don’t mind me asking ? Xx
In April 2014 my weight was 12 stone For my height /age I needed to get down to 10 stone to be a healthy weight.
It took me 11 months to lose that 2 st, slow and steady, but a slower loss is by far the best way as it's easier to maintain. I reached my target in April 2015 and have maintained ever since , mostly approx 9st 7.
Smaller portions, a few changes in food choices, being aware of calories/ carbs, more healthy fats and veggies. ...a mixture of all these gets results.
I hope you've had time to read the links about PCOS that we gave you a couple of weeks ago. They should point you in the right direction. Here they are again
Thankyou everyone for your kind words and support 🙂
Today into this weekend I’m currently away Christmas/ valentines gift 🎁 so I can’t be 100% committed however will start making the swaps where I can !
Thankyou very much for the pcos information I have now also managed to take notes and compile it into a file for me to look at I have also purchased a couple of pcos books and a low GI diet book to hopefully be able to give me some ideas etc on what to eat so I can create a food plan ! I’m hoping this well help me along the way and do the trick to help me loosing weight !
