Did anyone watch this programme last night? All about weight loss and all used a different methods. Several used the kind of food delivery plans that I am trying at the moment, other tried Lighter Life, another cut carbs and portion sizes. They all lost a substantial amount of weight over the year and gained a lot of health benefits.

I didn't watch it but going to catch up.

I was out at my choir group exercising my vocal chords which I find lifts me and makes my mind less focused on what I could eat so to me it's a win win 🙂

Oh I'd love to join a choir but live in a village and don't drive so can't get to one. I fancy the Rock choir. Hope you enjoy the programme when you get time to watch it.

Have you a village hall or a back room in a pub, maybe a few others may be interested in setting one up with you ? Will keep cost down rock choir is a little too expensive.

Ours is only a smll community choir but I find it invaluable to my mental health having to make the effort to get out !

At the moment one of the songs we're singing is 🎶 'This is me' 🎶 from the Greatest showman very inspirational to a lot of us trying to get to be that healthier person by what ever means of healthy eating.

Quote of the programme

“A mars bar tastes good for like 10 minutes, but a compliment lasts for ages” 😊😊😊

Ps I loved to see the guy who was lifting his kids up like dumbbells as part of his exercise routine

Hello Mantha and welcome back to the forum 😊

One thing that struck me about the programme was never give up. Everyone has ups and downs but we need to stick with it and keep trying

A few things may have changed around here so have another read of the Welcome Post here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

The best advice I can give is have enough to eat. If you are following the NHS 12 Week plan then the 1400/1900 calorie target suggested is a just generic amount, please check your own personal calorie target using the BMI checker, it’s often higher than you think. We always advise starting towards the top of the range, being hungry is the biggest cause of weight loss failure

Best wishes in your weight loss journey

I watched it and was glad to see that it’s not as easy to lose weight as it sounds. It’s a completely different way of thinking and not just while we lose weight but for the rest of our lives otherwise it will creep back on.
