Hi all, I have been battling with my weight ever since I can remember. I can always remembering feeling like the bigger compared to the rest of my friends when I was little. Throughout my teens I then was diagnosed with PCOS and then eventually Type 2 Diabetes. I find it so difficult to manage these conditions and loose weight. The foods that are low in sugar and not necessarily also low in fat. It consumes my whole life. I see very little results and end up getting frustrated and then having a binge in all the foods that I know I shouldn't be eating. Diet burnout I call it!
My health is continuing to deteriorate, and have been told I am close to be put onto insulin. I am only 32. I don't want to even be taking all these tablets let alone start injecting myself.
Ive tried slimming world and all sorts but find that having unlimited amounts of rice and pasta is not good for managing for BG levels. so I am hoping that this NHS plan will help me lose weight as well as keep my levels under control.
Currently weighing 14.2 stone --- first short term goal is to lose 10 pounds. Wish me luck!

Hey Pinkcatplanne and welcome to the forum! First of all: what Moreless said. You don´t have to reduce All The Things. Second: I feel you on the diet burnout. Been there, done that. For me it helps to incorporate tasty things into my healthy eating plans regularly. Bleak abstinence isn´t necessary. You can do this! Best of luck.
