Happy Saturday All. I tried to loose weight and joined this forum 2 months ago. I have 3 kids under 4 and have recently gone back to work and I have to admit I am good for 3 days then I let it slip and the junk food comes back in....
I struggle to find time to excerise but I have signed up to a 10k and just invested in a running buggy so here's hoping
I love being active and I'd like to get back into my running and shed some weight. I've got 20kg to loose.... Here's hoping xx

The best exercise is always the one you stick with. On the other hand, what you eat has far more impact on your weight than exercise.
I should think you have to be a good planner with your little gang to organise so see if you can find a way of planning your meals and doing some batch cooking so you always have something in the freezer to turn to. Keep the junk food out of the house (the children don't need junk any more than you do), then anything you turn to will be healthy, real food
Hi Maria, welcome back. I think being “good for three days then slip and fall back” patter is something many of us recognise. Perhaps this time around try a different approach. Don’t be on or off a diet. Just make little changes to your habits. Start for example with a few habits like replacing sugary drinks with something else you enjoy (I have fizzy water with ice and lime or mint a lot), replacing white bread/pasta/rice with whole meal versions, adding one extra serving of veggies to your plate when you eat.
Of course starting from where you are now.
You could also chose to change one meal at a time, meaning continue to eat what you always have for dinner and lunch but having a healthier breakfast. Then when you feel you’ve got that integrated into your lifestyle, move on to lunch.
I hope you are enjoying your training for the 10k. 🙌

Hey Maria and welcome back! If you know can do well for around three days but then start slipping up maybe you can plan a healthier treat you can have after those three days to satisfy that feeling you need a reward for your hard work without losing control.
