HELP PLEASE.

Although I still haven’t been able to get to my goal weight I would like to try go to the gym consistently to tone my belly and thighs and also work on my bum. I have no idea what machines to use nor how many sets/reps to do on each so can anybody help? (I cannot afford the gym introduction as it’s an extra £25)

I would also like to start making healthy filling meals and snacks so any ideas on these too?

Thanks for the support x

For anyone else to offer that sort of advice, without the necessary training, Tanya-T, could be potentially dangerous for you.

You can tone your tum, belly and thighs for free, by following some You Tube videos, or the Strength and Flex programme healthunlocked.com/strength...

The daily diary is open to everyone, as are the recipes in Topics and if you have a look at this, snacks of any kind, are not encouraged, as they keep insulin levels high, which may lead to fat storage. phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

I hope this helps.

Hi I am new here too, my Gym induction advised me to do 2 weeks of cardio fitness to introduce me gently to exercise bike - 5-10 mins, treadmill 10 mins, cross trainer 10 mins and a good rule of thumb is if you can't talk without puffing and panting Slow down ! Going 3-4 times for 2 weeks week will raise your fitness level by a decent amount, then you can watch what others are doing and ask someone with a friendly face to help with how to use the equipment maybe? Good luck

I use the Nike Training Club app... there lots of workouts on there for all levels and plans for particular goals. Most don’t require any equipment and exercises can be modified to suit your current abilities. The plans are great and tailor to your abilities, you say how hard you found each workout and once a week it adapts your plan accordingly. If you don’t run, tell it not to include running as these are 15 & 30 minute runs.

Hello Tanya

I had surgery last year and because of that. I could not do my usual Pilates and hula hooping and my belly became really flabby. However, now fully recovered, I started using my power hula hoop again a couple of weeks ago when I started this diet and I am delighted with the difference it has made. I actually thought that I would never get that tone back after the surgery. I have only lost 4 pounds but I can already get into pre surgery jeans. So think about getting a power hoop I bought mine 5 years ago in Argos and I cannot remember how much I paid but it wasn't expensive. You need to build up the minutes over a few weeks but I can do 40 minutes no bother. I understand doing 4 ten minute bursts is equally useful. It is good fun too, I always put on music while I am hooping and it is seriously good for bum and tum. ( I believe Beyoncé and Michelle Obama are fellow hoopers) I am 63 and no Beyoncé 😂😂😂😂😂 but I still aspire to a firm bum!!!!!!
