Try not to think of it as a diet, but as part of a healthy lifestyle, where weight loss is the happy side-effect.
Just a couple of pointers, don't be guided by the generic calorie allowances of 1400/1900, put your details into the NHS BMI calculator, to get a range that's more suitable for you and aim for the higher end.
