Hi all. I’m Suzi, I’m 40 and I started the nhs 12 week diet on Monday. I need to change my eating habits and try to eat for healthy as well as lose weight. I’m doing it for my health, I’m not getting any younger and as of yet I have no major health issues and I want it to stay that way if I can help it.

The best advice I can give is have enough to eat. If you are following the NHS 12 Week plan then the 1400/1900 calorie target suggested is a just generic amount, please check your own personal calorie target using the BMI checker, it’s often higher than you think. We always advise starting towards the top of the range, being hungry is the biggest cause of weight loss failure
I recommend coming onto the forum regularly, daily if you can, reading posts and replying to others. Being part of a community is proven to help weight loss.

Yea ive done it this morning, two other people on here are doing it as well now so ive upped my efforts and yesterday I did the nhs strength and flex week 1, it was good, will do it again, what about you ?

Hi, I have recently joined this group too and am on week 3 of the NHS challenge. My reasons are similar to yours and I want to lose weight, but more importantly I want to change my lazy, unfit and unhealthy ways. My advice is to join a weigh in on this group - I'm a Wednesday Wobble Warrior - the support and encouragement is amazing. Also check in often and don't be afraid to post questions or general queries. Good luck with your new journey ☺
