I’m trying to drop a stone by 21st if feb (my birthday) I have been fairly good so far, started Thursday at 10st 12.
I joined the gym, burn 300 calories at least doing cardio and trying to go 3 times a week.
I cycle to work 3/4 times a week as well so I am definitely active enough, I just never know what diet will work best for me. I’m not having any extra sugar at the moment and trying to do low carbs.
I was just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips to help me achieve my goal if it’s possible! (Feel free to say ignore you don’t think it’s possible and say a more realistic goal)
Many thanks

It's recommended to lose weight at a rate of 1 - 2lbs a week, for it to be safe and sustainable. Embarking on a crash diet, with extreme exercise that you're unlikely to keep up, is a recipe for yoyo dieting. Take it from a past master
Far better to start a healthy lifestyle, that starts now and that you can maintain for the rest of your life.

Hi thank you very much for all the tips and helpful links, I’m ideally going to lose 2 pounds a week but am going in hard for the first week to prove to myself I can do it!
Hiyah Sazzatron and welcome to the forum! Losing a stone in 6 weeks is possible for most people but I´d agree with Moreless that it´s probably not the best idea. However: eating healthy and exercising comfortable amounts for 6 weeks WILL probably make you glow and feel great for your birthday. Which isn´t bad either. Best of luck!
Is losing a stone your only goal, or are you going to continue losing after your birthday? It might be "easy " to keep motivated for six weeks - but then you have to change mode for maintenance, or slower weight loss.
I want to get slim by my birthday, but I started last June!
