Hi all, I’m a 62 (hate saying that) male, who is unfit way overweight (touching the very obese mark), so I want to be more active get fitter & healthier, tried other diets but end up putting on more than I’ve lost. Like others will be starting my 12 week journey tomorrow (07/01/19).

62 next week .Fat all my life . Trying so hard - but still fat. Just not SO fat .Every 1lb is worth it .You are worth it .Whatever weightloss programme you choose, stick it out for two weeks? That will give you short-term habits .

Hi. I've looked at links. I'm calorie counting 1200 per day with a deficit of 1000. Seems to be working. I've lost 5lbs this week. Just weighed myself

All you 62 yr olds are just kids...I’ll be 64 this year....and pleased to say am not doing too bad. Not quite where I should be weight wise; last weighed in at 12st 9lbs, and should be a stone or so lighter, but managed to lift and stack 15 bales of hay this morning so quite pleased with this old lady’s body! 3 yrs ago I was 15st 6lbs and huffing and puffing with the rest of ‘em! It is never too late, as my slim 87yr old Mum keeps telling me...
