Hi and welcome, Ninnu
Firstly, you need to forget about dieting, as that doesn't work. You need to find lifestyle changes that are sustainable. There's also no point launching yourself into the latest 'shred' workout, if you hate it and are only doing it to lose weight. Far better to start moving more, walking briskly for 30 minutes a day, will make you feel and look good.
Forget about low fat/fat free/diet foods and concentrate on fresh food. Plenty of vegetables and good fats (not processed vegetable oils and spreads), a small amount of fruit and low GI carbs and a moderate amount of protein. That's it, in a nutshell.

Hi, Ninnu , Welcome
If nothing else works, there are some things you could try:
Eat for fewer hours in the day... (intermittent fasting). You do not burn much fat until about 12 hours after you last ate, so, if you only eat during an eight or four-hour window, you tend to lose weight... start by not eating (late) in the evening.
Give up wheat, gluten, grains, see:
Hi Ninnu
I completely agree with moreless advice about making it a lifestyle change rather than a restrictive diet!
I have reached this conclusion after struggling with eeight gain myself over the past few years & trying all the faddy diets out there!
I am trying to slowly lower my carb intake and have given up the so called “diet/low fat/light” options and have embraced butter, full fat cheeses etc
Why not plan your meals and post in the daily diary and we can offer helpful advice to maximise your nutrition, we are all very encouraging there & super friendly
Good luck xxx
