So, I have done the couch to 5k and been doing 5k every other day. Also I cycle to work (this is only 5mins) but I do go home for lunch so 20 mins cycling every day. I am doing a type of slim fast but noticed that I am grumpy when I get home as I have not had proper food so wondering if this will help so that I actually get to eat food and still lose weight. I do, however lose 1lb a day on this diet throughout the week but at the weekend I put almost all of it back on. Again hopefully I will be able to stick to this plan. I will be doing it with my wife as she wants to lose weight as well.

The trouble with quick fix diets, is that they have a tendency to be followed by a quick gain, as you've already discovered. You need to check your calorie allowance, using the NHS BMI calculator and aim for the upper end of the scale. Eating too little can be counter-productive long term and may lead to yoyo dieting and insulin resistance an healthy lifestyle is a far better option healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
I suggest you join our weigh-in and daily diary, to keep you focused, abreast of the latest tips and for support, encouragement and guidance with meal planning.
Well done for trying to fit in exercise where you can, i was told by a personal trainer that weight fluctuates up to 8lb a day due to fluids were drinking and food were eating and what our body produces to get rid of so id not pay too much attention to the scales on a daily basis as i found i got a little too obssessed ! Many of us here choose a day to weigh in and stick to that day each week & find the weigh in post for that day for encouragement and helpful tipls and advice.
I personally have chosen to stop the crash dieting as for me its just not sustainable and so i adopted a healthy eating plan & healthy lifestyle. I also plan meals
In advance and factor in snacks, i dont deny myself anything but compensate for it if i decide to go rogue off plan on a night out!
