Hi, I desperately want to lose weight but just don't have any motivation or drive. I have been more determined in the past but now I just don't feel like trying...and the obesity makes me depressed. need some help and motivation, please.

Stay here with us and it will help! Recommend joining a weigh-in (you can choose which day suits). You'll have to find the way to new lifestyle that suits you - we're all different.
Personally, I'd try keeping a record of everything you eat and drink for a week. Don't bother too much about looking up calories etc to start off - just give yourself a reference point of a typical example of how you eat now. Then review it - how much junk, how much sugary stuff, and how much looks "healthy"! Then you can think about what you might cut out / down without it bothering you too much, what you could maybe substitute for the packets of crisps or whatever.... and take it from there in little steps.
You're looking to change a lifestyle so it doesn't have to be a crash bang wallop approach. When you feel like you can't be arsed to think about it let alone do something different come here and talk - most of us have "been there done that"!
Hiya, I have literally just joined for similar reasons. I need to lose about 2 and a half stone and it feels daunting. I’m so uncomfortable and unhappy with how I look that I’ve reached a bit of a point where I am ready to go for it. Good luck to you! I think we just need to look at the long term goal and once we see some results it will hopefully spur us on !
Hello and welcome. Cherritox is pretty spot on that probably best to take this slowly and do join in with people on the site. You’ve taken a big step in saying you want to change. There’s a healthy ge amount of support on here. Just try writing everything down and what helped me to begin with was looking at portion size. I eat everything but in much smaller quantities now. We all do this differently and for some of us this is not a quick fix. Good luck on your journey
