I am in my 60s and have hypertension. Despite having lost a stone and a half in the last 5 years I am still over weight and my b/p in on the rise. I recently bought a Fitbit and can manage ny 10000 steps most days disputes having sciatica.
Any tips please.

I am 69, have hypotension, and a pacemaker... and, since having my pacemaker replaced (and an additional atrial lead) last month, I have felt better... one day I left my wheelchair at home and walked to the playground next door... and I got angina... so I consider myself grounded... until I can get to the chest pain clinic (a week past Tuesday).
...but I lost 1½ stone in 3¼ months... without exercising.
I am one of the few people on this forum who has not got a damaged metabolism (mostly insulin problems)... and I can lose weight just by eating less.
Knowing what constitutes a "good diet" and not eating 20 hours a day help, but there is no magic cure.
Do you count calories?
What diets, methodologies or rules have you used to lose weight so far?
