Anyone able to recommend filling food that’s low in Calories? Today I’ve eaten all my calorie allowance and now feeling hungry so grabbing grapes and raspberries. Even tho I’ve now eaten too many calories today least it’s fruit!

Ps I can’t eat eggs!

Fin cracker bread slices smothered in laughing cow light cheese triangles.

Glass of sparkling water with slice of orange .

Low fat plain yougart with grated cucumber and crushed garlic in . Use as dip with cucumber, carrots and celery

Sweet fix.....skimmed milk with chopped banana and teaspoon of coco powder stick in blender and add sweeter if needed.

Roasted carrots and parsnips always taste so much nicer and sweet snack.

Warm skimmed milk with drop of vanilla essence makes a nice satisfying bedtime drink.

Hope this helps x

Great ones. I’m also appreciative. I use laughing cow light on rice cakes. Can also top them with extra cucumber or rocket or something.

If you're feeling this hungry, it's because you're not eating enough and you're eating the wrong foods.

Check your calorie range on the NHS BMI calculator and aim to eat near the top of the range.

Fruit will fill your body with sugar and mess with your insulin levels, causing spikes, followed by crashes, leaving you with false hunger and cravings.

Low fat products are highly processed and often filled with sugar/sweeteners/other additives, which will have the same effect and leave you hungry and wanting more, soon after eating.

Increase the size of your meals, use healthy fats like full fat dairy, olive oil, coconut oil and reduce high GI and processed foods, for increased satiety.

Hi Tori1234, I was having the same problems as you, thinking I was eating healthily, low fat, low calorie, then struggling with feeling hungry. What moreless replied to you, is working for me - now losing weight and very rarely feeling hungry between meals. I try to start my day with protein, before eating anything else, for me that’s a boiled egg which you can’t have, but perhaps you could have a small portion of cheese.

Sometimes you’re not hungry but thirsty so try a glass of water. If you’re still ‘hungry’half an hour later then have the fruit or veg sticks.

Grass is low calorie and high fiber, but not good for your teeth ...but what about bean sprouts? They taste good and are nutritious, but how calorific are they?

You can save money and buy the beans and grow them yourself.

Hi Tori1234. May I ask how much water you are drinking? I find if I drink around 2 litres in a day I don’t get the hungry feeling. Maybe it’s because I’m constantly running to the loo to wee!! Really though, I always start loosing weight if I drink more water. I find it hard to do consistently, day in day out, but when I start feeling hungry again, despite having eaten plenty of food, it’s ususally because I haven’t drunk enough.

Celery sticks spread with crunchy peanut butter ( choose a low sugar one).... nut butters are healthy fats, satisfying, and the celery takes a while to munch through !!
