Time to get started again

Hmm - need to get started properly now - no progress for 2 weeks but then again I've not been reducing calories. It can all start again in the morning. Why is it we sometimes experience the will to lose weight and others times not?

It’s the same as everything else in life, you don’t always have the same mood, sometimes you don’t have the usual energy, sometimes the will to do things isn’t quite there. This should be no different. A week or two of no progress isn’t the end of the world... it can even be deliberate without being a problem... we take breaks from almost everything we do from time to time.

The thing is, you’re on it most of the time... that’s how we work, I don’t believe in life rhythms too much, but I can see the logic. I’m on the C25K running programme. Last night I got hardly any sleep, tried to sleep all day, my hydration was nowhere near right because I was in bed and not drinking water all day... then my run was just perfect... there’s no logic to it.

Like you say, it can start again tomorrow, and remember no progress isn’t the same as going backwards.

Be kind to yourself no good blaming yourself for being human. As humans we all hate change so it takes a little while for us to adjust, soon your way you eat and exercise will become the norm and you will succeed. New day - Go for it!

Hi Getoutdoors, we do seem to put things on the back boiler and lose a bit of enthusiasm occasionally, don't we? I know I do! I suppose the best thing is to refocus on why we want to lose weight and assess what's going into our bodies. Are you under stress at all which could sabotage weight loss? Or not having a lot of sleep? It could be anything. I find the best way is to just keep up your efforts as far as food is concerned and try to be as active as possible. :-)
