You will find us all a friendly bunch 😉

I totally understand your concerns - being a mum is full time for your lifetime.. But with rewards along the way along with the trials.

Look after yourself and be the example that you want your children to follow.. You know you can do this.. And with the support and encouragement on here, you never need to be alone!

Welcome Dressagerider to the site, as a fellow high blood pressure sufferer I do understand what you are going through. My first answer to it is don’t panic or stress about it, I know that sounds easy to say but it will help you if you stop doing either of them.

You seem to have a very active lifestyle and you must find that there isn’t enough hours in a day but you have to be selfish and make time for yourself as that is when you will be able to focus on what you want.

Don’t think of this as a diet site as this is more like a lifestyle change that you want to make, you have your motivation sorted as you have said you want to do this for yourself and your children I use the same motivation for myself.

You will find as you join in the site that there are a lot of helpful people here who will help you along the way so don’t feel scared to ask anything as someone will have tried it and can give you what they learnt from it just remember though we aren’t medically trained (well maybe some are) so we can only offer help but we will advise you to see your dr or anyone like that who will be able to offer that type of help.

I’m going to say welcome again and stop boring you as you have enough information to go through but I look forward to seeing you around the site joining in where you can.

Good to have you here, Dressagerider . Don't put pressure on yourself. Step by step you can find a healthier path.

Have a think about what you're doing now and what you could change for the better. Portion size? Snacking? Sweet stuff? Eating mindlessly? Alcohol? You will know what trips you up, so use that as your starting point. Don't be in a rush. One change this week, one next week and they will all add up 😆

Join a weekly weigh in to get (and give) support - giving is as valuable as receiving on here. The Daily Diary will help with meal planning. Joining in with posts, discussions, chats on What's Happening, will all keep you focused.
